  Keyword Search Tips
Looking for some information about a particular plant? How it looks like, where it comes from, and the kind of conditions suitable for its growth?

Seeking recommendations on the types of fragrant plants for your own garden, or curious about which species are suitable for seaside planting?

Welcome to NParks FloraWeb - the online plant-reference database. This comprehensive guide offers information and photographs on a wide selection of plants, and aims to make gardening easier and more enjoyable for all.

  1. Keyword used for search is not case sensitive.
  2. If you enter multiple keywords, the system will look for species matching to all the keywords you enter.
  3. Symbols such as Dash(-), comma(,), full-stop(.), forward and backword slash (/\), bracket([](){}) are all ignored.
  4. Multiple space characters are all ignored.
  5. You can use wild card character (*) to enter keyword with a few starting characters only. eg: waterlog* will search for waterlogging, waterlogged, etc.
  6. Singular or pural keyword of search are treated interchangably.
  7. If you want to search for a specific word only and not its related pural form or other related form of the word, you can add the plus symbol in front of the keyword. eg: +trees will search for species records with "trees" word and not "tree".
