  • Description
    • Description :
      Skin thin with small non-overlapping scales. Eyes large and without eyelids. Digits expand into adhesive pads. Body long and slender, mottled with brown, grey and white, with five irregular dark-brown cross-bars over the dorsum. Digits half-webbed; flaps of skin present along the sides of the limbs, but absent on the sides of the body; tail serrated on the sides.

    • Ecological Notes :
      Inhabits forest, living on shrubs and tree trunks. This nocturnal animal probably feeds largely on insects.

      Distribution :
      In Singapore, known only from Pulau Tekong where it was first discovered in August 2005. Occurs in the Malay Peninsula and Borneo.

      Scientific Interest & Potential Value :
      This appears to be a very rare gecko, with only six specimens presently known in museum collections. The individual from Singapore is only the second recorded from the Malay Peninsula.
