    • Ecological Notes :
      Lives epibenthically on subtidal muddy, sand, moving on the surface by the paddling action of its spines and apparently feeding on surface detrital organic matter. Can form dense aggregations.

      Distribution :
      Small numbers are widely distributed in Singapore waters with a larger population of aggregated individuals recorded subtidally at Pulau Semakau.

      Land reclamation could eliminate significant proportions of the population.
      Scientific Interest & Potential Value :
      One of the very few sand dollars species recorded for Singapore waters.
