    • Size :

      Description :
      Male: Slaty-black body, bright yellow bill and bright red legs in breeding plumage. In non-breeding plumage, leg olive-green, red frontal shield extending onto crown to form short chest. Female: tawny-buff overall; dark brown feather, bill dull yellow, leg greenish-yellow.

      Freshwater, Urban
      Distribution :
      Found in South, East and Southeast Asia. Northern breeders move to south. Uncommon visitor. Found in wet grassland, ponds, canals, marshes and reed bed.
