    • Size :
      6 cm
      Description :
      Silvery and slim body with a black stripe that spans along the length of the fish, starting from behind the gills to base of caudal fin. A golden stripe spans directly above, parallel to the black stripe. Anterior part of tail fin red.

    • Ecological Notes :
      Consumes small invertebrates and organic matter, and can usually be found in the middle of water column. Highly adaptable and hardy in a wide range of habitats.

      Distribution :
      Can be found multiple reservoirs in Singapore. Worldwide, it is native to Indochina, Thailand and Northern Malay Peninsula, Borneo and Sumatra, and an introduced species in the Philippines.
