    • Size :
      23 cm
      Description :
      Rectangular-shaped body with a round head. A black spot can be found on the gill cover and truncate caudal fin respectively. Body is typically olive-grey, occasionally has blackish bars.
  • Ecology, Habitat & Location
    • Ecological Notes :
      Omnivorous, consumes small fishes and insects. Has ability to inhale air and can survive out of water. Typically found in places with low water levels.

      Forest, Freshwater
      Distribution :
      Can be found in streams and ponds in both rural and forested areas in Singapore. Worldwide, it can be found in India, East Asia, Indochina, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines.
