      Crown: Very dense, up to 120 leaves in crown, fountain-like.
      Foliage: Deep green to grey-green, semi-glossy, up to 250cm long, keeled, with 120-220 leaflets; Rachis arching stiffly downwards; Petiole 2-10cm long, straight, basal leaflets reducing to spines. Leaflets are simple and weakly discolorous. 
      Habitat :
      Grow on open dry woodland or low hills in dry sclerophyll forests. Usually in shallow poor soil.
