      Growth Form: A terrestrial or lithophytic herb, it has a clumping growth form. 
      Foliage: The leaves are green and linear to narrowly oblanceolate and can grow up to 60 cm in length and 4 to 5 cm wide. 
      Flowers: The flowers are are borne on an inflorescence bearing up to 2 to 4 flowers, the peduncle can grow up to 45 cm long and is purple and covered with short hairs. The flowers are large and consist of purple striped sepals. The lateral sepals are triangular with a tapering apex and are yellow with purple streaks. The flower lip is purple. 
      Habitat :
      It can be found growing at altitudes between 600 to 1200 m.
