    • Description :
      Body very elongate; snout protruding and fleshy; dorsal, ventral and caudal fins confluent; dorsum with a row of short spines. Body mottled brown with a buff stripe over the entire dorsum.

    • Ecological Notes :
      Shaded forest streams with acific water and dense growths of submerged vegetation and leaf litter beds. This carnivorous fish tends to hide among vegetation.

      In Singapore, known only from one small area of the Central Catchment Nature Reserve.
