    • Description :
      Upperparts dark greyish brown, underparts paler. Head with long and narrow muzzle and with large eyes. Short tail and not linked to flight membrane. No claw on second finger.

    • Ecological Notes :
      Feed on nectar and pollen. Important pollinator of many forest trees including durians.

      Terrestrial, Urban
      Distribution :
      Roosts in large colonies in caves, old buildings and under concrete bridges. In Singapore, can be found in several locations but rare. Distributed in Myanmar, Indochina, the Philippines, Malaysia and western Indonesia.
